Many years ago I was checked out in a Citabria, 7-ECA (part-owner), also flew right seat in DC-3s and Beech 18s, currently fly a Cessna Cardinal 177.

I was a member of the 99s for 25 years, currently member of the United Flying Octogenarians (UFO), serve on its Board of Directors and as Area Director for the State of Indiana. I also write a monthly column (WOMEN IN THE SKIES) for www.aircraftowneronline.com.

Good news! This beautiful C195 will be at our Lady Taildraggers flyin and Nancy & Rusty will be in it!  Be sure and check out the upcoming February issue of www.aircraftowneronline.com.     Cool. I look forward to reading the article. I just joined the 99s, thanks to the encouragement of having a woman, pilot, 99 move to my hometown. Wyoming has very few, and only a couple of them are actually flying members. Well, now there are a couple more of us. I hope it grows. My new flying friend says she is used to active 99 groups that fly out and meet for lunch. I’m looking forward to that! It’s hard to have flying friendships with men, because a lot of them have wives that don’t like the idea. I hope you can come down to Tennessee too, or Orcas Island (sounds like that idea might “fly” too).
