I am planning a visit to Alaska this summer, but due to time constraints, I will using the airlines to get there. I would gladly buy gas for anyone willing to take me out and about. How about it!

I voted for the Tiger Moth in NZ, because I’ve already flown a SuperCub in Alaska, landing on gravel bars and mountain strips (with an instructor, though). I’ve also flown a Tiger Moth (a little bit), and the idea of an open cockpit in NZ tickles my brain!

the sky was blue…the sun was shining….white fluffy clouds dotted
the distant horizion…I was pulling my jeep into the thew little grass airstrip, that old familiar feeling came over me ….as i rounded the bend my aircraft drifted into view …..and seemed to sense my
arrival … at long last the work week was over and i could relax and be who i really was…a simple pilot given a set of wings …i thank my God for allowing me to live out my dream….I am so thankful that each day is filled with thoughts of endless flights…the sheer joy of feeling the shackles of gravity giving way to weightlessness!!!
Hope your flights are endless ….and the wind give your wings the lift to fly over tall mountains!! Remember my worst day flying….Beats my best day at work!!!!

Sure is a welcome change from the 60′s when I wanted to enlist in the Air Force. The recruiter told me they’d teach me to be a secretary, and if I was really good, I’d get to be a secretary to a General someday. Now women are Generals, and engaging in all aspects of our military, along with the risks and rewards. Thanks, ladies!

Needless to say, I didn’t enlist, and went on to college without the AF’s help.
