My name is Kevin Pratt, I am the President of VAA Chapter 16 and like you all, bitten by the airplane bug. I currently fly a 1945 Beech Staggerwing and a 1950 Cessna 170A. I took the liberty of adding our fly-in to your events page and would love to see as many as possible come to our Vintage Aircraft fly-in in Kansas City. It’s a great little airport and a great group. I see Kim Pardon is listed as one of your members and is a great friend of our chapter as well. I think this site you put together is fantastic.  WE NEED MORE WOMEN in aviation in general, and taildraggers in particular.
Best of luck in 2012!
Kevin

Christina Chapman invites you to her second annual “Trailhead to Personal Excellence” Fly-in Adventure at Smiley Creek, Idaho. This is an event open to all women pilots that focuses on the uniqueness and strengths women pilots possess. It’s packed with back country flying opportunities, outdoor adventures, beautiful mountain scenery and lots of female camaraderie.

Sulpher Creek Airstrip

Christine has put together a one-of-a-kind program for women pilots that I was lucky enough to attend last year. See the link for the full brochure and detailed info on symposiums offered and more.

Hiking

Idaho is incredibly beautiful and few have the opportunity to see it from the perspective pilots do. If you’re not a well seasoned mountain/canyon flying pilot, flight instruction, including tailwheel instruction, is available. Camp on the airstrip, stay at the lodge or even in one of the Smiley Creek teepees.
