Are you a female nose-wheel pilot who would like to earn a tailwheel endorsement? Here’s your chance to win not only a free endorsement with Brian Lansburgh at Sisters Airport in Oregon but paid expenses to get you to Oregon and back home again!
Applications are now being accepted for the LadiesLoveTaildraggers Tailwheel Endorsement Scholarship.Thanks to the generosity of Brian Lansburgh and Tailwheelers Journal as well as cash donations by many others, one qualified female applicant will receive her tailwheel endorsement in 2014. Online applications are due by midnight June 15, 2014 and the winner will be announced no later than July 15, 2014.

Requirements for applicants:
- Must be female
- Must be a minimum 21 years of age
- Must hold a minimum of Sport Pilot license
- Must be a U.S. citizen
- Must weigh no more than 180 pounds
- Must sign Tailwheel Productions & LadiesLoveTaildraggers Model Release Forms (photos or videos may be taken of you during training)
- Must be passionate about earning a tailwheel endorsement!
Getting to Sisters Airport
Many California, Oregon, Washington and Idaho students simply drive to Sisters, which sits on Highway 20 just 18 miles northwest of Bend, Oregon. Those from more distant parts of the U.S. find it convenient to fly into Redmond (KRDM), rent a car and drive the short distance to Sisters.
Lodging & Dining
Accommodations at the Best Western Ponderosa Lodge at 505 U.S. 20, Sisters, Oregon, a favorite of pilots flying into Sisters Airport. When it comes to dining, there are several great places to dine in Sisters. Lunch during your course may be possible at the Bend Airport Café at Bend Airport as well.
It is recommended you review the application in its entirety, gather any information required and set aside time to fill in all the blanks. Applications cannot be saved and should be completed once begun.
A team of 5 ladies, all members of LadiesLoveTaildraggers, has been assembled to oversee the application process and review all applications. Included are two CFIs and three passionate taildragger pilots, including myself. Their votes will determine the winner and their decision will be final. Good luck ladies!
